Harburn House

We have just had the pleasure of doing a fantastic wedding at Harburn House - we love this venue! It is stunning and it's exclusive use makes it some a private, personal venue.

It was a freezing cold day setting up the chair covers (I think the temperature reading in my car was -3.5c at one point) so setting up the covers was a back stiffening chore, but seeing these fantastic pictures makes all the hard work worth it! The venue was stunning when finished, the candleabra flower decorations were beautiful and the lighting was the perfect finishing touch. I think that the bentwood white chair covers and purple are a fantastic combination - the purple is so deep and rich in the satin and provides a real luxury to the colour scheme.

Enterkine House

We have just done the sashes for a striking hot pink wedding at Enterkine House, near Prestwick.

Enterkine have their own bentwood chair covers and use our services for their sashes and we have provided a mixture of different colours in the last few months.

We have added bentwood chair covers to our ever expanding range of products and this means we are now able to cater for many new venues such as Dundas Castle, Harburn House, Brig O'Doon Hotel, Loch Green House Hotel, Kirknewton Stables (and many more!)- we always advise you check with us your chair sizing in advance to make sure the right covers are provided for you!

Seamill Hydro - Ivory Chairs and Hunter Green Organza

Hi all!

We did a great set up today at Seamill Hydro. A lovely early morning drive down to Seamill with the sun coming up as we were there for 5.30am!

I really love the richness of the colours with this combination - the ivory covers look great with the deep hunter green.

This is our first trip to Seamill, but we have 4 weddings booked here in 2010 so it always great to see the venue first hand and the staff made us feel very welcome!

Candy Buffet

We did a very pink candy buffet today at Dalmeny Park Hotel, Barrhead. Unfortunately the room was so full with guests the hotel couldn't spare us a table so we were given an inlet / mantelpiece to set up on- but it worked quite well with the sashes and framing the buffet.
Our bride today also decide to upgrade their candy buffet with cupcakes, raspberry and lemon flavoured, and these looked great with the pink buffet!

Make Believe Events offer excellent quality table linen, elegant chair covers, delightful candy buffet, scrumptious cupcakes and accessories for weddings and other events.

Make Believe Events is run as an independent business and operated by staff with experience in organising events for up 3,000 people. Make Believe is based in Glasgow but can provide all your event needs within Central Scotland and regularly travel to Edinburgh, Perth and Ayr. We have over 5 years experience in the field and are confident in our ability to deliver top class event planning and decor.

We plan to use our blog as a way to update our pictures from different venues as we set the space up with different colours and equipment - hopefully this will be useful for future brides to be and events planners for seeing their venue dressed in a variety of ways!
